APEEEL2, through the Sustainable Working Group, together with the Transport Working Group, has supported this project for over 2 years and we are very grateful to the Commune of Mamer for initiating the first application.

As part of “Kidsonbike”, a Europe-wide initiative organized by parents, more than 150 cyclists and representatives of the local Elderly Council and the Communal Council participated to the success of the event ! This was also the continuation of a Bertrange parents group’s joined efforts and new initiatives throughout the last 2-3 years to draw the commune’s attention to safety challenges for cycling children on their way to school.

We encourage Bertrange students and their families to come numerous to the 1st Kidical Mass cycling tour in Bertrange, organized on Sunday 14/05 at 11:00 as a fun, family-friendly 40-minute tour through town. We also encourage parents, including those whose children don’t cycle to School, to complete a short survey on setting up a velobus (accompanied cycling) for children.
