All parents and teachers are invited to our next morning COFFEE MEETING which will introduce sustainable intitiatives in our School and in Luxembourg.
Come & join us for a coffee, a snack, good conversation and a chance to meet other parents in a relaxed atmosphere. The date of the meeting will be confirmed on the parents’ INVITATION which will soon be sent via our Class Reps network.

The I.D.E.E. Exhibition by Gaialux in collaboration with the Sustainable Working Group of APEEEL2 will soon join our School.  During the Sustainable Days next April, it will bring its blend of vision and creativity telling stories of climate activism and eco-transition, while raising awareness and knowledge about the 17 Global Sustainability Goals of the United Nations, the 2030 Agenda, through art and storytelling, with artists, young and adults, from Luxembourg.

Our Sustainability Working Group has been busy holding meetings with parent members, talking with teachers and advising the School in various capacities on ways to become more sustainable and help the School have a smaller carbon footprint. The Sustainable Days will take place at School next April and will include workshops for the e-com (ecological committee) students, a clothes swap, an art expo as part of the IDEE project by Gaialux, an APEEEL2 Coffee Morning meeting and a more active Sustainable Forum.

The ebikes are now available to anyone wanting to come or leave school using the Vel’OH system. You simply need to register using the enclosed link. APEEEL2, through the Sustainable Working Group, together with the Transport Working Group, has supported this project for over 2 years and we are very grateful to the Commune of Mamer for initiating the first application.

Our group of parents involved in sustainability and climate change at School is looking for new volunteers and new ideas to ensure that we keep helping the School staff and students move forward on many green issues and fight climate change. Thanks to the Sustainable Forum created last year, we increased our work with everyone who is interested in climate action and protecting the environment. We would also like to encourage more Secondary students to join our new Periscolaire Lux2 Earth Ambassadors’ after-school projects, subsidized by APEEEL2.

Our Sustainable Working Group is working hard to put in place an official School Committee to fight for sustainability at our School. We are currently working on the idea of creating a Sustainable Forum that would meet regularly and include School Management, teachers, parents and students. Contact us to learn more about this, as well as our new Earth Ambassadors Periscolaire activity and/or come and have a coffee with us during our new Coffee Meetings at School.
